Information for course providers

What is the Course Directory?

The Course Directory is the Skills Funding Agency’s database of the learning opportunities it funds. It contains information from over 900 learning providers including colleges, training providers and local education authorities.

The directory includes Adult Further Education, Adult Community Learning, Apprenticeships, undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, and courses that are co-funded by the European Social Fund.

Customers can search for courses by keyword and location or use the advanced search to refine their search by course type (class based, distance learning, work based learning and online), start date and course hours (e.g. full-time, part-time etc).

Within the course search results there are direct links to:

  • FE Choices Performance Indicators
  • Course enrolment pages
  • Provider websites.

Customers that have registered can save their search parameters in their Lifelong Learning Account for future searches of the directory.

What are the benefits of being on the Course Directory?
  • It is a free tool to promote your courses online
  • It’s used by more than 3,000 careers advisers every day to help people to choose their course and learning provider.
