2. Course description
This course is perfect if you are looking to have a career in the uniformed public services sector and would like to explore the options that are available to you. You’ll learn about uniformed public service employment, public service skills and the importance of fitness whilst working in the sector. You can expect great exposure to what’s included in a role in the public services. You’ll work on practical tasks and fitness projects, as well as creating a written record about what you have learnt and carried out You could also join one of our Sport Academies while studying on this course.
3. Entry requirements
4 GCSEs at Grade 9 to 3/A* to D, including English Language and maths, one of English Language or maths at Grade 9 to 4/A* to C; or You’ll need 4 GCSEs at grade 9–3 (A*–D), including English Language and maths – one of English Language or maths must be grade 9–4 (A*–C). Functional Skills Level 1 can be used as equivalent to GCSE grade 3 (D) and Functional Skills Level 2 can be used as equivalent to GCSE grade 4 (C) or above.

5. Assessment method
You will be assessed throughout the course including; practical tasks, fitness tasks and projects. You will also be asked to support these tasks with a record of evidence.
