2. Course description

You’ll learn about all aspects of animal care such as: Feeding and nutrition; Grooming; How to handle them safely and carefully; Professions relating to animal care, such as: Veterinary science; Farming; Breeding; The equestrian industry. You can expect to learn in our dedicated animal care facility and take full advantage of our links with animal organisations such as Stonebridge City Farm, the RSPCA and Cats Protection. You’ll also progress your literacy and numeracy skills whilst gaining a qualification to recognise your achievement.

3. Entry requirements

You’ll need 4 GCSEs at Grade 3-1/D-G, including English Language and Maths at Grade 3-1/D-G or a relevant Entry 3 vocational qualification. You will be asked to undertake an Initial Assessment and this must show that you are ready to study English and maths at Level 1.
