2. Course description

This course will suit those who would like to work as a trainee legal administrator or trainee legal secretary. The course will cover the work carried out in six areas of a law firm including typing of legal and business documents and general office support duties.Level 2 Diploma consists of the following units:- Legal Text Processing- Legal Audio Processing - Working in the Legal Environment- Proofreading- Legal Spreadsheet Processing- Legal Presentation Techniques.The programme of study also includes Work Experience.

3. Entry requirements

To secure a place on this course requires: - 4 relevant GSCSs at Grade 4 or above including English and Maths- a commendable school reference indicating good attendance, punctuality, attitude and ability to study.An interview will be set up for you to attend, where more information will be given and to sit initial online testing in English and Maths to determine your skill levels for this course.

5. Assessment method

Practical work-based exercises will prepare students for their unit assessments. The skills units are assessed through timed examinations set throughout the academic year.
