The course involves assignment work, work experience, employability activities and some exams in the following units. QCF Administration (Business Professional) Suite DIPLOMA at Level 2 Assignments oWritten business documents oSupporting recruitment and selection procedures oCareer planning in administration oWorking in administration oOrganise meetings oOrganising business travel and accommodation oCommunicate with customers oTeamwork in administration oFinancial Transactions oHandling diary systems oHandling mail Exams oText Production oSpeed typing oBusiness Presentations oDocument Presentation oMail merge You will undertake additional qualifications as follows:- o GCSEs in Maths and English if you achieved D / 3 or below oFunctional skills - English, Maths and ICT at level 1 or 2The course is designed to give class room tuition, blended learning with 1 weeks on the job work experience. This course is of a very practical nature with time being spent on gaining essential keyboarding and administrative skills. You will need to allow time to work on your assignments independently.Once you have successfully completed your course you will be able to progress to the Business Administration Level 3 course at Eastleigh College OR an apprenticeship in Business Administration Level 3. Alternatively, many of our students go straight out to work and are now employed as Receptionists, Administrative Assistants or Clerical Officers.

3. Entry requirements

You should be keen and enthusiastic and you should hold, as a minimum, 3 GCSEs at A*-D / 9-3 grades in English and Maths (ICT desirable). We would also like to see a satisfactory school report and you will have to complete a successful college interview. Any Student without an A*-C / 9-4 grade in English or Maths will be required to continue study in this area either through GCSE or functional skills, the pathway followed dependent on the grade achieved at GCSE, screening and intended progression. Work experience placements may require students to plan and organise their own travel, this part of the necessary development and preparation for employment.
